FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OYE-EKITI FUOYE HOLDS MATRICULATION

FUOYE, one of the nine newly approved federal university,has set pace
for others as the school matriculate her pionnier set made up of 512
students with the school kick starting from her permanent site. The
admission process of FUOYE was very challenging as over 50,000
students applied last year with about 95 % unable to get their result
while less than 400 candidates were able to make the list which was
published in the national dailies earlier this year. The mass turnout
of applicants justify the fact that the south west really needs new
institutions.
During the matriculation which was held at Oye-Ekiti the university
v.c prof Chinedu Nebo encourages the students to see their selves as
role model and endeavour to be good ambassador of the institution.
With Fuoye kicking off from her own permanent site, one can not but
expect the school to favourablely compete with other institutions
across the globe.
