Ladoke Akintola University of Technology ogbomosho Lautech have
released the result and admission status of candidates who sat for her
year 2012/2013 pre-science ( pre-degree ) supplementary entrance
examination.
The result which was released barely twenty-four hours after the
examination can now be checked clicking the pre-science result
notification from www.lautech.edu.ng . Candidates were also able to
check their admission status while registration has already commenced.
Predites who gain admission via the supplementary form are to note
that lecture have already commenced at Pds school and they are
expected to join those already receiving lecture immediately.

The joint admission and Matriculation Board JAMB which is the body
responsible for conducting entrance examination to Nigeria tertiary
Institutions is set to make move to put an end to the various short
coming recorded in previous examinations.
According to JAMB DIRECTOR prof. Dibu Ojerinde, the board is set to
step up the accuracy of utme as the year 2013 jambites will have to
choose between three options which are PPT,CBT AND DBT. Accoriding to
him candidates who choose the option of ppt which means pencil and
paper test will write their utme examination the old way. Those who
choose CBT meaning computer base test will write their exams on
computer and will receive their Jamb result on their phone in less
than 30 minutes while those who choose DBT dibu based exam will get
their question on computer while the answers will be shaded on answer
sheet.

honourary doctorate degrees to politicians.
According to the secretary of the association, prof Michael Faborode

Univercity ile-ife, the association debated on the rate with which
award of honourary doctorate degree which is meant for people with
postgraduate certificate and have been able to invent,or produce
thesis which can aid social development of Nigerians is now awarded to
politicians of no merit. The professor made it known that a new guide
rule known as " KEFFI DECLARATION " will be in use from 2013 and the
keffi declaration doesn't give chance to the indiscriminate awarding
of what have to be a prestigious honour.

that your rat won't run away but note that Iron cage is quite

In response to various calls we received from Obafemi Awolowo
University oau 2011/2012 predites, on the minimum obtainable mark to
be qualified for admission. Mycampusnews was able to affirm the fact
that the minimum cut off marks is 55, anything below this in the final
pre-degree result is not qualified for admission. We were also able to
find out that the cut off marks generally for art students as law
which has the highest cut off marks is 69 while science cut off mark
is very high as medcine cut off marks is 82. You can check our

NECO 2011/2012 JUNE/JULY RESULT RELEASED !!!
NECO have released the year 2011/201
2 June/july examination with a quite encouraging performance by the students.
According to NECO Director General Michael Okpara, the percentage of
students who made credits in subjects like English,Mathematics, and
Economics is estimated at 50% which is in all ways better than the
results released by the commission in the last five years.
With over 50% credit pass, but some nigeria language like edo and
ibibio witness mass faliure, as candidates who have credit in the
subject falls below 10%.
Also some schools from Anambra,Rivers and e.t.c were banned frow
writing NECO for two years owing to their alleged involvement in mass
examination malpractise.

You can ask around, almost every predite is admitted for various
degree programmes while the worst that can happen to an unserious

UNIZIK RESUME SALES OF PRE-SCIENCE/ DIPLOMA FORM GET YOURS IMMEDIATELY

further stated that other campuses will be located at places with
resources that fit in to the intended course of study. He also made it
known that the newly constructed gigantic teaching hosphital in
ogbomosho will serve as the oyo state university of technology
teaching hosphital and that work is already on going in the teaching
hosphital to put finishes touches to some of the facilities of the
hosphital which is built by the Alao Akala administration. The
teaching hosphital when completed will favourably contend with
University Teaching hosphital Ibadan. The oyo state house of
representative are already putting finishing touch to the
establishment of the institution.

2012 WAEC RESULT FINALLY RELEASED,WITH IMPROVE PERCENTAGE IN PERFORMANCE
In the just released 2012 may/june WAEC result 38.81% got 5
credits and above including English and
Mathematics. A total of 1,672,224 candidates sat for the examination out of
this figure, a total of 1,545,004 representing 91.10%
had their results fully released, while 150,874 candidates
representing 8.90% have a some of their subjects still being
processed due to some errors committed by the candidates at
the point of registration. Of the total number of
candidates that sat the examination, 771,731 candidates
representing 46.14% obtained 6 credits and above,952,156
candidates representing
56,93%obtained 5 credits and above while 1,107,747
representing 66.24% obtained credits in 4 subjects and above.
While announcing the release of the result. head national office of
the council Dr. Iyi Uwadie said the
results show an encouraging improvement in candidates performance of
the 2010 and 2011 WASSCE. Candidates are expected to visit the
council's

of September. Any candidate who fails to report by 24 September 2012
will forfeit his or her place to a candidate listed on the reserve

3. Candidates on the reserve list are NOT to report to the Academy
until they are told to do so.

PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP FALLOUT,AREWA CONSULTATIVE FORUM ACF DECLARES NORTH WAS INTENTIONALY EXCLUDED
Northern leaders group known as The Arewa Consultative Forum ACF has
yesterday declared that northerners
were deliberately excluded from the recent list released by the
National Universities Commission
(NUC) for the award of a presidential scholarship to some nigerian
outstanding students. This was made known by the
national publicity secretary of ACF Anthony Sani said the list has
ignored the national consensus.
"The attention of the Arewa Consultative Forum has been
drawn to a most curious list of
candidates published in the newspapers this week who are
said to have qualified for the award of a presidential
scholarship for innovation and
development, which is designed to train and develop young
Nigerians to become
entrepreneurs capable of creating jobs, wealth and progress on their own.
"However, although the list released by the NUC is on a state
by state basis, it is not at all clear that the Commission wanted
candidates granted scholarship to come from all parts of the country.
The criteria
used to select the candidates appear delibaretly designed to exclude
those from the Northern states. It
certainly enabled the NUC to ignore the national consensus on
inclusiveness and balance of
competing demands among ethnic groups and geo political areas of the country.
"If the NUC had permitted itself
to be guided by the need for balanced development of Nigeria,it would
not have nominated a
preponderance of candidates for this vital programme from
Southern states to the near total exclusion of the Northern state. Oyo
state,for example, has 52 candidates while Sokoto, Yobe, Cross Rivers
and the FCT have nil candidate. The list itself is explanatory,

University of Nigeria, Nsukka
(UNN) Student Affairs
Department was on Saturday set
ablaze by unidentified
hoodlums.
The fire destroyed property
worth millions of Naira,
including vital documents of
students and the university in general.
An eye witness, who pleaded
anonymity, said that the fire
which gutted the office of the
Dean, Student Affairs of the
university, started early in the
morning of saturday.
"The people who committed
the crime were said to use fuel to set the
place on fire.
"If not for the quick
intervention of fire fighters
from Nsukka office of Enugu
State Fire Service, the fire
could have spread to other
buildings close.
"The fire destroyed computers,
documents and other office
equipment in the office of the
dean of the school student affairs.
"UNN security has cordoned off
the area to bar people from
entering," the eye
witness said
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor
(Administration), Prof Malachy
Okweze, confirmed the incident,
and said the fire was the
handiwork of detractors who
were not happy with numerous
achievements of Prof Bartho
Okolo, the Vice-chancellor of the institutoin.
"It is unfortunate that
somebody carried out such an
evil act by destroying property
of the institution,
"The university will do
everything to fish out the
perpetrators of that evil and devilish act.
'The actions of the detractors
will not deter the present
university administration from
continuing with its good work,"
he said.
The Police Public Relations
Officer in Enugu State, Mr Ebere
Amarizu, also confirmed the
incident and said the police had
commenced investigation into
the cause of the matter.
"The police have commenced
investigation into the fire
incident which gutted UNN
student affairs department on
Saturday.
"Office equipment and vital

FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC KADUNA POST JAMB RESULT AND EXAMINATION
Federal Polytechnic Kaduna in Kaduna
State Nigeria started her 2012/2013 post
UTME screening examination today. The
Batch 1 & 2 of the candidates successfully
sat for their examination today. The exam
continues as scheduled tomorrow for the remaining
batches of the students.
We wish all the students good luck in their
examination.
Candidates who made the Polytechnic either as first
or second choice and scored a minimum
of 160 in JAMB are welcome to apply in
the school campus.
All inquiries should be
channeled to the Registrar, Kaduna State
Polytechnic, Kaduna.
Note however that NO admission will be
given for the following under listed
courses:

3. HND in Mass Communication

The obafemi Awolowo University ile-ife as a system of releasing
admission list which mycampusnews will like to acquint you with while
still waiting for the admission list. The first list to be released is
the OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY MERIT ADMISSION LIST. This list
comprises mainly names of applicant who made the institution there
first choice and meet up with their propose course of study. It very
rare to see second choice applicants names on this list irrespective
of their aggregate, because OAU believes such candidates who made the
school as second choice might have gained admission to their first
choice institution. Three or four weeks later,the SUPPLEMENTARY LIST
will be released and it usually made up of candidates whose aggregate
are close to the cut off marks of their course and also have
connections with one person or the other. Second choice candidates can
also make the list so far they know how to play their cards well. The
list also comprise of some candidates who has request for change of
course from a high cut of marks to the one they can meet up with.
After supplementary list comes the short falls. The list which is
usually submitted by different departments to meet up with the NUC
quota comprises list of candidates submit by different staffs and some
late comers who didn't make supplementary list. Few Days before
matriculation, the final list is always released. The list known as
V.C list is always made up of people who truely knows how to play the
game and knows top officials and most especially has the divine
intervention of God almighty. LESSONS TO BE LEARNED. 1. If you didn't
meet up with your department cut off marks,you either find a means of
changing your course or start connecting with people and note don't
pay anyone for admission help. 2. If you choose Oau as second choice
and meet your department cut off marks ,don't just sit at home waiting
for admission because oau needs a second choice students to request
for admission before getting it. So go to your department when ever
the school resumes and meet students, tell them your problem and i
tell you they will surely help don't under rate anyone when it comes
to admission. 3. If you meet the cut off marks and choose the school
as first choice,congrats in anticipation as i will also advise you to
start praying and doing anything you think can help. if you appreciate
