NUC SUSPENDS LEAD CITY,ACHIEVER,OBONG,JOSEPH AYOBALOLA,ACHIEVERS UNIVERSITITES LICENSE

Commission of nigeria NUC has on Wednesday
suspended/withdrawn the operational
licenses of seven private
universities for allegedly not
meeting up to its set down targets on
school facilities and academic
programmes as established by
the NUC act.
The suspended universities are as follows:
1.Lead City University oyo state
2. Caritas University Nig
3. Joseph Ayo Babalola
University ikeji Arakeji osun state
4. Tansian University Nig
5. Madonna University Nig
6. Achievers University Nig
7. Obong University Nig.
Confirming the development to
reporters, Mallam Ibrahim
Yakassai, The Director of Press
and Public Relations for NUC said
in a telephone conversation on
Wednesday that the
suspension of the license(s) of the
affected schools was important
in order to continually work on
the development of current standard of Nigerian
Universities.
A top NUC official who
pleaded anonymity affirmed
that the decision of the NUC
became unavoidably important
considering the fact that most of the
private Universities have failed
to lived up to the guidelines
lay down by the NUC in the
running of Universities in
Nigeria. The NUC official stated the operators of the dis licensed
schools have been informed of their short coming but they have refused
to take corrective measures,he further stated that the universitier
are only suspended as there license with be restored after correcting
