UNILAG/MOSHOD ABIOLA UNIVERSITY RIOT

The students of the newly renamed university of lagos has described the pronouncement by Dr Goodluck Jonathan that the school name has been changed to moshod abiola university as a very bad democracy gift. Mycampusnews was at unilag to see what was really happening. The students of the great academic community were seen obstructing the flow of traffic at major roads in lagos as a sign of there unsupport to the new name. The students of were seen carrying different cardboards with one reading Jonathan change your father name and not unilag. Mycampusnews chatted with the students and asked them why they have decided to reject the name. Some said they didn't support the name because was only a popular politician without much academic reputation. Some said they don't know to adjust to the new name because they are used to the old name. Alot of them claimed they would have preferred if the name was change to obasanjo or Tinubu university and declared that
the new name is totally unacceptable. While mycampusnews was talling to one of the lecturers in the school, who do not want his name in print he said he did not know the reason why the students have refused to appreciate the man who lost his life for the democracy of nigeria. The president in his press release said his decision on unilag can never be reverse. The deputy v.c of the institution have also order the immediate vacation of the institution premises by the students. Mycampusnews wishes to appeal to MAU STUDENTS to act with moderation.
